1 Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LegalScan ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

2 Description of Service

LegalScan is an AI-powered document scanning and legal analysis application that provides:

• Smart document scanning with edge detection and OCR
• AI-powered legal document analysis (contracts, NDAs, policies, etc.)
• Digital signature and form filling capabilities
• Document organization, search, and management
• PDF tools (merge, split, compress, protect, watermark)
• Cloud storage integrations (iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox)
• Document sharing and collaboration features
• AI chat assistant for document questions

3 Eligibility & Account

3.1 Eligibility Requirements

• You must be at least 17 years old to use the App
• You must have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
• You must not be prohibited from using the App under applicable laws

3.2 Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and account
• You are liable for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all content you scan, store, or share using the App

4 Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

• Scanning and managing your personal and business documents
• Analyzing legal documents for personal understanding
• Signing and sharing documents with authorized parties
• Using AI features to assist with document understanding

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use LegalScan to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Scan or store illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our AI models
• Circumvent any security features or access controls
• Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Share your account credentials with others
• Abuse AI features or submit harmful content to AI systems

5 Data & Privacy

5.1 Your Data

• You retain ownership of all documents and data you create or import
• You grant us license to process your data only to provide the App's features
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content
• You must comply with applicable data protection laws

5.2 Data Processing

• Documents are primarily stored locally on your device
• iCloud sync uses Apple's encrypted infrastructure
• AI processing may require secure cloud transmission
• We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

5.3 Data Security

• We implement industry-standard security measures
• You acknowledge that no system is completely secure
• You should regularly backup your important documents
• API keys and sensitive data are stored server-side

6 AI & Machine Learning Services

6.1 AI Features Include

• Legal document analysis (contracts, NDAs, employment agreements, etc.)
• Document summarization and key information extraction
• AI chat assistant for document-related questions
• Smart categorization and organization
• OCR text extraction with intelligent formatting

6.2 AI Limitations & Disclaimers

• AI analysis is provided for informational purposes only
• AI recommendations do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice
• You should verify AI-generated insights before making decisions
• AI accuracy may vary based on document quality and complexity
• We do not guarantee specific accuracy metrics or outcomes

7 Subscriptions & Payments

7.1 Subscription Plans

• Free tier with basic features and usage limits
• Monthly subscription with full access to all features
• Yearly subscription at a discounted rate
• Lifetime purchase option for permanent access

7.2 Free Trials

• Monthly subscriptions include a 3-day free trial
• After the free trial, you will be automatically charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends
• Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to new subscribers

7.3 Payment Terms

• All payments are processed through the Apple App Store
• Subscription fees are charged in advance
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
• You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy

7.4 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You retain access to Pro features until the subscription expires
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

8 Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

• We retain all rights to the App, including software, AI models, and design
• LegalScan trademarks, logos, and brand elements are protected
• You may not use our intellectual property without written permission

8.2 Your Rights

• You retain ownership of your documents and data
• You grant us a limited license to process your data for App functionality
• Analysis results generated from your documents belong to you

9 Service Availability

9.1 Availability

• We strive to maintain high App availability
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• AI features require internet connectivity
• Third-party service outages may affect certain features

9.2 Modifications

• We may update, modify, or discontinue features
• We will provide notice of material changes when possible
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of modifications

10 Limitation of Liability

10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied
• We do not warrant that AI analysis is accurate or complete
• We do not guarantee specific business or legal outcomes

10.2 Limitation of Damages

• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not responsible for lost data, profits, or business opportunities
• Some jurisdictions may not allow these limitations

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iCube Media from claims arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your infringement of third-party rights
• Content you scan, store, or share through the App
• Decisions made based on AI-generated analysis

12 Termination

12.1 Termination by You

• You may stop using the App at any time
• You may delete your local data from within the App
• Subscription cancellation does not delete your data

12.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Illegal or harmful activities
• Abuse of AI features or systems
• Non-payment of subscription fees

12.3 Effect of Termination

• Your access to Pro features will be discontinued
• Local data remains on your device unless you delete it
• Certain provisions of these Terms survive termination

13 Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where iCube Media is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Dispute Process

• First, contact us to resolve disputes informally
• If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
• You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits
• Small claims court actions may be permitted

14 General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and iCube Media regarding the App.

14.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

14.3 Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting revised versions. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

14.4 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of such right.

14.5 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to a successor entity.
